Truck Driver - CDL Class A - Penske Logistics

About the Role

This position requires the driver to travel regionally to work at various locations as needed, performing multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships. Layovers are required as part of the rotating work weeks.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
• Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
• Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• English language proficiency required (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
• Ability to work the required schedule and at the specific location required
• Complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Skills

• Safe operation of a motor vehicle
• Frequent entry/exit of vehicle and rear cargo area
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg, occasionally up to 100 lbs/45 kg
• Close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision, with ability to adjust focus

Pay

Average annual pay ranges from $90,322 to $106,572, with additional performance incentives up to $10,400 annually.

Schedule

• Dispatch time: 11 PM to 12 AM
• Rotating work week
• 2 to 3 layovers per week
