Truck Driver - CDL Class A - Penske Logistics

Immediate opportunities for local Class A CDL truck drivers. Home daily with a four to five-day work week and early AM dispatch. Overtime paid after 40 hours at $32.50 per hour.

About the role

Drive late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks with best-in-class specs designed for comfort. Vehicles are equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to ensure safety. Deliver medical supplies to hospitals, clinics, and surgical centers, averaging 20 stops per week. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver medical supplies needed to provide patient care
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with customers
• Operate vehicles equipped with safety cameras
• Adhere to all federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Ensure regular, predictable, full attendance
• Represent Penske and client brands professionally, including driving branded trucks and wearing client uniforms

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
• 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• English language proficiency (required by federal law 49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Accept responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others
• Complete Penske employment application, background investigation, and drug screening

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to see and hear with specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting
• Frequent use of hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg
• Legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area
