Truck Driver CDL A Local Yard Spotter

Ryder is hiring a local Class A CDL Yard Truck Driver in Greencastle, PA. This role offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career with well-maintained, safe trucks (36 months or newer) featuring 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations.

Pay

• Hourly Pay: $28.00 per hour
• Shift Pay: $1.00 per hour
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Weekly Earnings: $1160 or more

Schedule

• Wednesday - Saturday
• Dispatch: 6:00 PM
• Home Daily

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and maneuver tractor trailers on the yard and within an area on public roads
• Comply with safety and DOT regulations
• Participate in continuous training and provide customer service
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and agency laws, regulations, and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records, logs, move and yard inventory
• Perform other assigned tasks

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
