Ryder is hiring a local home-daily Yard Driver in Georgetown, KY. Drivers on this account earn up to $1,548 or more weekly with a guaranteed 40 hours per week at $28.16 per hour. The schedule is Monday–Friday with some Saturdays required, starting at 5:15 PM.
Pay
- Hourly pay: $28.16 per hour
- Weekly guaranteed 40 hours
- 50+ hours per week
- Shutdown bonus: $2,000 within the first year
- Safety bonus: $250 every quarter
- Sign-on bonus: $1,000 at 30 days and $1,000 at 90 days

About the Role
- Local home-daily yard driver position
- Tractor type: Yard truck
- Trailer type: 53' dry van
- Freight: Yard moves only (auto parts)
- Strong backing skills required
- Ryder provides training on all equipment
- Trucks are 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations
Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
- Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
- 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
- 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records and logs
- Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
- Perform other duties as assigned
