Ryder is hiring a local Class A CDL Yard Truck Driver in Greencastle, PA, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career with daily home time.
Pay
- $1160 or more per week
- Hourly Pay: $28.00 per hour
- Shift Pay: $1.00 per hour
- 40 hours per week
Schedule
- Wednesday - Saturday
- Dispatch: 6:00 PM
About the Role
- Route: Local, home daily
- Tractor Type: Day Cab, Yard Tractor
- Trailer Type: Dry Van 48', 53’ and Pup
- Freight: No Touch – General Freight
- Must be able to drive manual transmission
- Trucks are 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations

Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
- Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
- 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
- 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
Responsibilities
- Safely handle and maneuver tractor trailers on the yard and within an area on public roads
- Comply with safety and DOT regulations, continuous training, and customer service
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records and logs, including move and yard inventory records
- Other tasks as assigned
