Ryder is hiring a local Class A CDL Yard Truck Driver in Greencastle, PA, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career with daily home time.

Pay

  • $1160 or more per week
  • Hourly Pay: $28.00 per hour
  • Shift Pay: $1.00 per hour
  • 40 hours per week

Schedule

  • Wednesday - Saturday
  • Dispatch: 6:00 PM

About the Role

  • Route: Local, home daily
  • Tractor Type: Day Cab, Yard Tractor
  • Trailer Type: Dry Van 48', 53’ and Pup
  • Freight: No Touch – General Freight
  • Must be able to drive manual transmission
  • Trucks are 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
  • Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
    • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
    • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
    • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

Responsibilities

  • Safely handle and maneuver tractor trailers on the yard and within an area on public roads
  • Comply with safety and DOT regulations, continuous training, and customer service
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
  • Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
  • Maintain accurate records and logs, including move and yard inventory records
  • Other tasks as assigned
