Trolley Driver/Tour Guide

About the role

This position requires a good sense of fun and a desire to entertain, along with excellent driving skills. The successful candidate will drive a trolley on busy public streets while narrating a sightseeing tour multiple times a work shift. They will also bring to life the history of America and its positive aspects.

Responsibilities

• Drive a non-air-conditioned trolley on busy public streets while entertaining guests by narrating a scripted sightseeing tour
• Meet and deal with the general public and diverse company employees in a prompt and courteous manner
• Handle stressful situations and difficult people both in person and via the radio while maintaining a professional and pleasant composure
• Maintain radio contact with dispatch during tours
• Perform an interior and exterior physical inspection of the vehicle daily and accurately complete the departmental documents/forms for inspection

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid TN CDL Class B with airbrake and passenger endorsements (Will train to acquire a CDL. Must obtain a CDL in the first month of employment)
• Acceptable driving record for past three years

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment MVR/background check and substance abuse testing
• Must pass a DOT physical upon employment
• Valid Nashville Entertainment Transportation Driver Permit. Must obtain in the first 60 days of being in this position
• Have a passion for helping people and making their Nashville experience a memorable one
