Trim Brake Operator/ Press Brake Operator, Metal Fabrication

About the Role

The Trim Brake/Press Brake Operator is responsible for forming and shaping metal trim components used in pre-engineered steel building systems. This role operates brake press equipment to bend, cut, and fabricate trim pieces to exact specifications.

What You’ll Do

• Operate trim brake and press brake machinery to form metal trim components
• Read and follow work orders, drawings, and specifications
• Measure and bend metal accurately to required dimensions and angles
• Inspect finished trim pieces for quality and accuracy
• Stage and organize materials to support production flow
• Perform basic machine checks and assist with routine maintenance
• Work closely with production teams to meet daily output goals
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in manufacturing, sheet metal, or steel production environments
• Ability to read a tape measure and follow production specifications
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop environment
• Dependable, safety-focused, and willing to learn

Preferred Experience

• Experience operating brake press or trim brake equipment
• Background in metal roofing or building materials manufacturing
• Forklift experience or certification
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards in a manufacturing setting
