Summary Description Of Work
- First point of contact for consumers
- Complete screening forms to determine service match and level of care
- Introduce and orient consumers to the program
- Ensure consumers understand their rights and responsibilities
- Assess and address immediate crisis stabilization needs
- Aid consumers in identifying triggers and learning coping skills
- Create initial stabilization plans with connections to natural supports and resources
Compensation
- $20.42 - $24.70 per hour (based on total years of relevant experience)
Work Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Minimum Qualifications
- Two years' direct care experience in a human service field
- Two years of training in a human service field
- Bachelor's degree or higher in psychology, sociology, or related human service field (preferred)
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Complete enrollment/intake on eligible clients
- Develop a supportive relationship with clients and respond to their needs during scheduled shifts
- Orient clients to CSRC program expectations and address client non-compliance as necessary
- Psycho-educate clients on life, social, and coping skills
- Create and facilitate in-house client life- and social-skill building activities, and support groups
- Provide problem-solving and crisis intervention services to empower clients to develop self-sufficiency
- Maintain client’s self-administration of medication and follow procedures for recording
- Report client activities and needs to CSRC staff at shift change
- Demonstrate knowledge of current community and HFS programs and resources to meet client needs
- Utilize trauma-informed care, person-centered, and culturally competent principles in providing services to clients
- Perform client room safety checks and searches
- Aid in the disbursement of donations for successfully discharged clients
- Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of facility including staff office, bathroom, and client common areas
- Place maintenance requests for facility repairs
- Respond to emails, phone calls, and faxes professionally and promptly
- Display a courteous and caring attitude towards clientele, volunteers, and visitors
- Follow all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements
- Be dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance
- Collaborate with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff
- Participate in internal and external training opportunities to develop and maintain personal and program-related skills
- Create, maintain, and share a dynamic self-care plan
- Make connections between the agency and the larger community to contribute to fundraising and friend-raising efforts
- Perform other program-related duties as assigned
