Excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a busy outpatient medical practice in Huntingdon Valley, PA. This role offers the potential to transition into a long-term permanent position.
About the role
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to confidently manage telephone triage, patient concerns, provider communication, and care coordination in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct telephone triage and assess patient symptoms and concerns
- Obtain accurate medical histories and relevant clinical information
- Determine appropriate next steps using established clinical protocols
- Communicate patient concerns and changes in condition to physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Respond to calls regarding test results, medication refills, post-operative instructions, and general medical questions
- Provide clear patient education regarding medications, treatments, and follow-up care
- Handle complex prior authorizations and medical clearance requests
- Initiate appropriate diagnostic or therapeutic measures according to established protocols
- Coordinate patient needs with providers and other departments
- Assist with resolving patient-care concerns efficiently and professionally
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies
- Provide compassionate and professional support to patients and families
- Assist with additional clinical responsibilities as needed
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- Current Pennsylvania LPN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- 3+ years of related clinical experience preferred
- Previous triage or telephone triage experience strongly preferred

- Ability to prioritize multiple patient needs and responsibilities
- Comfortable working independently and making sound clinical decisions
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with EMR systems
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Pay
$22-$28 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule
Full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity
