Triage Nurse - LPN
About the role
The Triage Nurse - LPN will provide excellent patient care by answering calls, triaging patient issues, documenting chart notes, and reviewing patient care with physicians.
Responsibilities
- Answer patient phone calls in the clinical queue and triage patient issues or questions appropriately.
- Document chart notes and report adverse reactions to medication or treatments.
- Complete FMLA, disability, and BMV paperwork as necessary.
- Discuss patient care with physicians and provide follow-up care and instructions as necessary.
- Manage prescription refills and lab/test requests.
- Occasionally assist providers with procedures (toxin treatments, lumbar punctures, punch biopsies, injections, etc.).
Requirements
- Current LPN licensure in the state of Ohio.
- Prior medical office experience.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background and drug screen.
- Immunization for Tuberculosis (TB) or willingness to be vaccinated upon hire.
- Ability to sit and work on the phone continuously for the duration of the shift.
Qualifications
Competitive Pay - The pay range for the Triage Nurse - LPN is $22.50 - $29.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.
