Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic outreach plans to increase referrals and support organizational growth.
- Conduct regular in-person and virtual visits with referral partners to educate them on programs, services, and admissions processes.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and referral patterns to identify opportunities for growth.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned referral sources.
- Foster long-term relationships through consistent communication, responsiveness, and excellent service.
- Resolve concerns promptly while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, referral contacts, and relationship development efforts within the organization's CRM or referral tracking system.
- Collaborate closely with Admissions and Clinical teams to facilitate timely communication and smooth patient transitions.
- Provide education regarding levels of care, insurance coverage, treatment options, and available resources.
- Work with patients to coordinate return to work and related paperwork prior to discharge.
- Facilitate completion and submission of STD/FMLA paperwork.
- Complete all documentation in patients’ charts regarding case management activities; provide comprehensive written and verbal follow up with referral sources during treatment and at discharge.
- Broaden and develop Gateway Rehab’s geographic base across PA with the support of the telehealth-only license.
- Maintain a working knowledge of licensing and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Partner with Marketing to support campaigns, community events, educational presentations, and promotional initiatives.
- Support patient transfer rates and continuity of care.
- Partner with Development to support alumni programming, recruitment and retention.
- Serve on internal committees as needed.
- Attend Gateway mandatory trainings and departmental meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Communications, Social Work, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in business development, healthcare outreach, referral development, admissions, marketing, or relationship management.
- Experience within behavioral health, substance use treatment, healthcare, or human services preferred.
