Treatment Foster Care Support Specialist

About the role

The Treatment Foster Care Support Specialist plays a crucial role in providing emotional support and guidance to foster children and their families. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support to foster children and their families
• Assist in the coordination of services and resources for foster families
• Facilitate communication between foster families and social workers
• Offer crisis intervention and counseling services as needed
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of interactions and services provided

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience working with children and families in a therapeutic setting
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding foster care
