Treatment Engagement Specialist/Scheduler

Located in Dublin, Georgia, the agency serves residents of Bleckley, Dodge, Johnson, Laurens, Montgomery, Pulaski, Telfair, Treutlen, Wheeler, and Wilcox counties, as well as Burke, Emanuel, Glascock, Jefferson, Jenkins, and Screven counties through the Ogeechee Behavioral Health Division.
About the role
The Adult Outpatient program is seeking a Treatment Engagement Specialist/Scheduler to support clinical staff by ensuring seamless appointment scheduling and check-ins for individuals served and their families. This role ensures patient treatment plans are up to date, clinical staff schedules are full, and patients receive timely care. The selected candidate will also manage referrals for physicians.
Responsibilities
- Answer and return calls for the MD clinic in a timely manner.
- Schedule appointments for C&A psychiatrists and immediately enter them in the Avatar Appointment Book.
- Update notes in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) when appointments are rescheduled.
- Maintain confidentiality of consumers at all times.
- Print dashboards for next-day MD clinic appointments.
- Print BPS (Behavioral Profile Summary) for all initial MD appointments.
- Check consumers in for scheduled MD appointments and ensure return appointments are scheduled at checkout.
- Ensure the Diagnosis Screen is up to date and matches MD notes.
- Verify all medication consents are signed, scanned, and attached in the EMR.
- Follow up on no-show appointments within 24 hours to reschedule.
- Ensure MD clinic schedules are full each week and all nursing appointments are scheduled.
- Maintain up-to-date treatment plans.
- Work referrals for doctors to ensure new patients are properly onboarded.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Georgia Driver’s License.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse communities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Previous call center experience.
- Experience with conflict resolution or de-escalation skills.

Final pay rate will be dependent on a combination of qualifications, such as experience and education.
