About the role
AppleGate Recovery is seeking an accountable, process-oriented leader to oversee the operations of our outpatient clinics treating opioid addiction. The Treatment Center Director will lead a diverse team of physicians, counselors, and auxiliary staff, ensuring the clinic meets performance goals while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation and performance of the clinic.
- Manage clinic operations to meet budgeted and planned results.
- Participate in interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, managing, counseling, and terminating clinic staff.
- Provide direction to clinic personnel and communicate corporate mandates, goals, and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (SAMHSA, DEA, CARF, JCAHO, HIPAA, etc.) and manage federal, state, and local applications, filings, licensure, permits, and approvals.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies and implement improvements.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators, reacting to clinic measures as needed.
- Familiarize yourself with OBOT federal and state laws and regulations and their application.
- Maintain and update policy and procedure manuals and clinic operations manuals.
- Serve as a clinic resource and arrange for training as requested or necessary.
- Maintain patient, employee, and company confidentiality.
- Establish and maintain a positive clinic culture.
- Identify internal barriers to patient success and initiate changes.
- Create and maintain referral opportunities to expand access to treatment.
- Participate in community relations, education, and development activities to drive and maintain census.
- Implement tactical steps to increase and retain census, ensuring operations can handle growth.
- Engage in political activities to maintain company connections within local government, advisory boards, and professional meetings (e.g., ADAA).
- Lead efforts to hire and train personnel with cultural diversity to meet future clinic needs based on patient demographics.
- Participate in the Company Performance Improvement Process.
- Understand and apply standards required by the Board of Health, OSHA, and other regulatory bodies.
- Assist with marketing programs and literature development as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Multiple years of experience as an administrator of a clinical program.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Understanding of clinic operations, with significant experience in the field of substance abuse.
- Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills with the ability to supervise and manage personnel.
- Strategic thinker capable of recommending alternative solutions, executing, and monitoring outcomes.
- Self-starter able to work autonomously and generate ideas for company benefits.
- Customer service-focused, eager, and energetic.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
