Job Summary

The purpose of the Treasury Support Specialist is to provide support, sales, and service to business banking customers under direct supervision of the Chief Retail Officer. This role involves offering product and service solutions, servicing existing customers, and identifying and expanding customer relationships.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Offer bank products to existing customers and/or prospects using the established sales process while maintaining sales and procedural proficiency in all services.
  • Accurately open, maintain, and close deposit accounts and services.
  • Support and process client requests including wires, funds transfers, administrator changes, line changes, etc.
  • Identify, expand, and deepen customer relationships by profiling customers to recommend appropriate products and services that meet customer needs.
  • Make referrals to other appropriate lines of business including Residential Lending, Business Banking, Commercial Real Estate, WIS, and Merchant Services to meet customer needs.
  • Engage in reactive sales and cross-sell activities, including service-related activities, making outbound onboarding and campaign calls and timely customer follow-up.
  • Answer customer questions and resolve related account issues, including phone and in-person.
  • Maintain knowledge of WSB’s core processing system, WSB products and services, WSB policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements governing retail deposit accounts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Required: 1 year of sales and/or customer service experience and completion of Banker Certification within 6-8 months.
  • PREFERRED: 2 – 4 years of sales and customer service experience in a sales and goals-based environment, with a strong emphasis on customer service.

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • PREFERRED: Associate’s Degree in business or related field.

Working Conditions

  • Individual must be flexible in work schedule and have the ability to travel between office locations if warranted and provide proof of insurance.
