About the role
This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients with duties that include developing measurable strategic plans to foster expansion, creating effective marketing and communication plans, and ensuring bank product offerings and service support meet client expectations.
The Treasury Sales Client Officer II delivers integrated treasury solutions to clients within an assigned portfolio, partners closely with client-facing teammates to consult on sales opportunities, and provides product expertise to deliver the best possible solution. This hybrid junior sales/treasury associate role focuses on actively managing and pursuing treasury revenue streams, increasing product penetration, and coordinating fulfillment requests.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead in coordinating complex Request for Proposal processes with Treasury Sales teams.
- Build partnerships with internal business partners and key client decision makers.
- Complete portfolio business reviews with a focus on revenue realization.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with Middle Market clients, retaining and growing existing revenue.
- Seek opportunities to deepen client relationships through tailored solutions.
- Manage pricing and profitability for assigned portfolios.
- Conduct direct phone and web-based client outreach.
- Coordinate regular relationship review meetings with client teams to address process inefficiencies, improvements, and industry initiatives.
- Maintain client focus, treasury industry expertise, client subsector expertise, and a broad understanding of the bank’s structure.
- Drive revenue and profitability growth by identifying new opportunities and supporting clients with strategic and tactical needs.
- Develop data-driven insights and presentations for clients, including recommendations to reduce risk, improve working capital, and digitize payments/receipts.
- Participate in the Client Management Process to develop and deepen client relationships through thoughtful identification of client needs.
- Ensure service and fulfillment requests are directed to relevant teams, responding to client and partner requests in a timely manner.
- Maintain client pricing (changes, new services) and ensure accurate billing for all products and services.
- Manage client escalations and keep the internal team informed.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities through account analysis and regular client interaction.
- Protect and grow revenue within the assigned portfolio.
Requirements
- 3 years of prior treasury sales experience.
- Product and financial acumen.
- Ability to interact with and influence people internally and externally through expert verbal and written communication and strong presentation skills.
- Ability to read and leverage data to proactively identify trends and opportunities.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills to balance multiple sales activities.
- Deep understanding of bank structure and the operational aspects of global cash management products and services.
- Understanding of and adherence to risk guidelines to proficiently identify, manage, and escalate risk.
- Passion for learning, courage, knowledge of bank networks, and effective business partnering.
