About the role

The Project Superintendent is a full-time position supporting the Construction department, primarily working on job sites. Key responsibilities include supervising subcontractors, ensuring project compliance, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

  • PreConstruction
    • Review project scope, schedule, and site conditions
  • Construction / Project Execution
    • Ensure site cleanliness and safety
    • Communicate project status to Formcraft PM
    • Monitor and direct project progress
    • Document work quality and address issues
    • Coordinate with subcontractors and third-party inspections
    • Maintain punchlist throughout project
  • Safety
    • Monitor and enforce safety standards
    • Communicate hazards and conduct safety training
    • Report and investigate safety incidents
  • Client Management
    • Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients
    • Resolve customer concerns promptly
  • Change Management
    • Communicate and coordinate with Formcraft PM on change requests
    • Define scope, costs, and schedules for changes
    • Obtain customer approval for changes
  • Project Closeout
    • Coordinate punchlist closeout and final documentation
    • Collaborate with Formcraft PM on project close-out

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 10-15+ years in construction
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Word & Excel; knowledge of project management software preferred
  • Certifications: OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain; CPR/First Aid certification

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 100 lbs occasionally
  • Sit for extended periods, stand, and walk occasionally
  • Work long hours, nights, or weekends
  • Use safety equipment on construction sites
  • Travel within the US (optional)
  • Follow OSHA regulations and company policies
  • Work in a construction environment with loud noises, dirt, and hazards
  • Operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver’s license
  • Participate in site surveys and climb ladders as necessary
