About the role
The Site Manager – Site Superintendent will manage the on-site construction activities at our projects located throughout the United States. The primary responsibilities include being ACS' point of contact at the project site, and being responsible for the successful execution of projects, including close coordination with the customer and the ACS project team.
Responsibilities
- Be ACS’ point of contact at the project site
- Coordinate with the customer and the ACS project team to ensure successful project execution
- Manage the on-site construction activities
- Assist in delivering a quality product to clients within budget and on schedule
- Meet client deadlines, balance multiple tasks, and respond to changes in deadline, scope, and design
- Prevent and detect safety violations
- Communicate and document safe work practices
- Collaborate with the ACS project team and other stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture is preferred
- Experience and/or course work in mechanical systems is a bonus
- Work experience in the construction industry is a plus
- Ability to read drawings, manage subcontractors’ work, and effectively manage project schedules and deadlines
- Knowledge with MS Project scheduling software is advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills, organizational and time management skills, interpersonal skills, and initiative to improve personal skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to travel and be assigned to client locations for extended periods while projects are in progress
