Traveling Inflight Base Supervisor

Inflight Base Supervisors oversee Inflight operations for assigned crew domicile(s), ensuring operational excellence, safety, and customer service standards. This role leads and manages Flight Attendants, fostering a culture of accountability, compliance, and performance excellence through coaching, development, and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to achieve on-time performance goals for the base/region.
  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly operational plans and respond to irregular operations, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Coach and develop Flight Attendants to exceed performance expectations through observation flights, ramp checks, and customer experience metrics.
  • Conduct fact-finding, grievance, and investigation meetings; manage timely and accurate grievance processes.
  • Hire and terminate Flight Attendants as needed.
  • Promote safety and compliance with regulatory and Company requirements; conduct investigations and maintain accurate employment records.
  • Monitor key base and department metrics to guide decisions and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct delay investigations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve on-time performance.
  • Perform Flight Attendant ramp checks and observation flights.
  • Communicate customer experience metrics and support initiatives to enhance them.
  • Interpret contract language for day-to-day operations.
  • Serve as a company/department liaison at the local level with internal and external customers.
  • Support multiple crew bases across the network, providing operational oversight, coaching, investigations, and training.
  • Travel regularly to crew bases and HQ to assist with staffing shortages, operational disruptions, and business needs.
  • Support special projects, including cross-functional initiatives, process improvements, and training.
  • Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and leadership.

Requirements

  • Combination of education and experience will be considered; must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Flight Attendant.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience managing people.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience managing in a union environment.
  • Valid/uneexpired passport and driver’s license.
  • Must pass Allegiant Flight Attendant Training and maintain currency.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required.
  • Strong communication skills for a dispersed workforce.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable handling conflict management and establishing rapport.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands/fingers to operate office equipment.
  • May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs.
  • May work various shifts in a 24-hour operation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Exposure to moderate noise, temperature, and light fluctuations in an office environment.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and sit at a computer terminal for extended periods.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Must report to assigned work location during national/state emergencies unless prohibited by local, state, or federal order.
