Traveling Concrete Superintendent

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Field Operations
  • Direct daily concrete construction activities
  • Lead foremen, crews, subcontractors, and equipment resources
  • Coordinate manpower allocation and work sequencing
  • Drive production while maintaining safety and quality standards
  • Resolve field issues and remove obstacles affecting productivity
  • Plan and Execute Work
  • Review plans, specifications, and shop drawings
  • Participate in project planning and scheduling activities
  • Cookorate with project managers, owners, engineers, and general contractors
  • Develop work plans for major pours and critical operations
  • Support schedule recovery efforts when necessary
  • Manage Concrete Operations
  • In one or more of the following areas: slab-on-grade construction, foundations, structural concrete, elevated decks, industrial concrete applications, tilt-up construction, formwork systems, layout and control, embed and anchor installation
  • Lead Safety Efforts
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture
  • Enforce OSHA and company safety requirements
  • Conduct safety meetings and job site inspections
  • IDentify and address workplace hazards
  • Lead by example regarding safe work practices
  • Deliver Quality Work
  • Ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications
  • Monitor workmanship and production quality
  • Coordinate inspections
  • Address deficiencies promptly
  • Maintain high construction standards
  • Track Production
  • Review labor hours and production metrics
  • Monitor crew performance
  • IDentify process improvement opportunities
  • Work with project management teams to meet schedule objectives

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of commercial or industrial concrete construction experience
    • Experience as a Superintendent, General Foreman, Lead Foreman, or similar leadership role
    • Strong understanding of concrete construction methods and practices
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Effective problem-solving abilities
    • Willingness to travel

    Preferred Experience

    • Experience with data center projects
    • Experience with tilt-up construction
    • OSHA 30 certification
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish
    • Experience leading large concrete placements
    • Experience with fast-track construction projects
