Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of dedicated vascular ultrasound experience
• Current BLS certification
• ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) OR CCI Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS)
• North Carolina state licensure: Not required
• First‑time travelers accepted: Yes
• EPIC EMR experience required

Skills

• Carotid, upper/lower arterial, venous, DVT/reflux, vein mapping
• Renal, mesenteric, AAA, endograft, aorta
• Upper/lower PVR/segmental pressures
• Hemodialysis grafts, iliac veins
• Arterial bypass grafts (fem‑fem, fem‑pop, loop grafts, etc.)
• Proficiency with Philips Epic Elite and Parks PVR/segmental pressures machines
• VascuPro reporting system experience

Clinical Scope

Patient types / common diagnoses: PVD, CAD, HF, CVA, venous insufficiency, renal/celiac/SMA stenosis, renal transplant, thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS).

Department volume: 8–12 RVT/RVS studies daily; average daily census varies.
