This position involves providing specialized nursing care for cardiac medical and surgical patients within a busy hospital environment. The role requires managing post-procedural patients, titrating drips, and monitoring cardiac conditions to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Job Details Position Description: The Telemetry Nurse will be responsible for caring for post cardiac cath lab patients, managing chest pain, and cardiac surgical patients with diagnoses including CHF, arrhythmias, and syncope. The role includes managing various titratable and set rate drips such as Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Diltiazem, and others. The nurse will also work within a 24/7 central telemetry monitoring system. Required Qualifications: Certifications in ACLS and BLS from the American Heart Association, RN license in good standing, minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in a hospital setting, experience with post procedural cath lab patients, management of chest pain, and post cardiac surgical patients, with the ability to titrate drips. Preferred Qualifications: Experience handling invasive cardiac devices and post-surgical recovery procedures. Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week. Additional Information: No self-scheduling; block scheduling may be available based on unit needs. Shifts generally include Friday through Sunday options, and every other holiday. Floating may be required based on census. Orientation includes onboarding and unit-specific training.
