About the role
The organization is seeking a Telemetry Medical-Surgical Float Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position in the Medicare and Geriatric care setting. This role involves providing specialized nursing care across multiple units within a designated zone, with responsibilities including patient monitoring, clinical assessments, and collaborative care delivery in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care across multiple units, including cardiac, neuro, oncology, rehabilitation, renal, bariatrics, orthopedics, trauma, and emergency observation
- Monitor and assess patients, including titrating titratable drips such as Heparin
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver patient care
- Float across different units within Zone 4, including general medical, surgical, and specialized units
- Adhere to nurse-to-patient ratios of approximately 1:5-6 based on acuity levels
- Work occasional weekends (6-9 weekends over a 6-week schedule) and participate in holiday rotation as needed
- Perform charting on EPIC system
Requirements
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med Surg-Telemetry experience
- Active RN license (license to submit)
- Flexibility to work in float roles within Zone 4
- Experience working with adult Geriatric populations
- Ability to work night shifts (11.5 hours per shift, minimum 34.5 hours per week)
- Schedules released 4 to 6 weeks in advance; flexibility required to assist with staffing gaps
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior neuro experience
- Experience with Alaris and EPIC systems

Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 34 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
