About the role
The organization is seeking a Telemetry Medical Surgical Float Registered Nurse (RN) in Massachusetts. This role involves performing phlebotomy, managing intravenous therapy, and providing high-quality nursing care to various patient populations. The RN will work in a critical care setting, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and support patient and family education.
Schedule
- Night shift, 8 hours per shift
- Minimum of 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Manage patients with chest drainage devices, epidural analgesia, telemetry monitoring, and orthopedic diagnoses
- Perform timely documentation and effective communication
- Respond to emergencies
- Maintain valid licenses and certifications according to role requirements
- Address age-specific patient needs, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Ensure adherence to policies and best practices
Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited nursing school
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- BLS certification
- Successful completion of Medical/Surgical IV Medication Module
- Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia exam
- 2+ years of Medical/Surgical Telemetry Nursing experience
- Travel experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing venipuncture and IV placements
- Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and post-operative care
- Demonstrated leadership and patient education skills

Pay
Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
