About the role
The healthcare organization is seeking a Step Down Unit Registered Nurse in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The successful candidate will work in an acute care setting with a focus on cardiac patient care. The role involves rotating shifts with responsibilities including patient monitoring and intervention, and requires current certification and experience in a high-acuity environment.
Schedule
- Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift
- Minimum of 48 hours per week
- Includes night hours or rotating shifts
- Every other weekend or straight weekends
- Every other holiday
Responsibilities
- Monitor and intervene for patients in a Step Down Unit
- Badge in and out at the facility
- Float to other units as a cardiac nurse with critical care experience
Requirements
- Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- At least 1 year of clinical experience
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
- Licensed to submit credentials in South Dakota
- Must note in submission if ever employed at the facility before, with stipulation on prior employment end date
- Critical care experience preferred
