About the role

Cardiology Step Down Nurse specializing in the Step Down Unit at a healthcare facility in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This role involves providing patient care for individuals with cardiac conditions, including pre/post caths, NSTEMIs, CHF, COPD, and other complex medical diagnoses. The position requires strong teamwork, communication skills, and significant cardiac experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage titratable drips including insulin, heparin, nitro, and diltiazem
• Monitor cardiac rhythms via telemetry with 24/7 telemetry tech coverage
• Provide care for patients with various cardiac and general medical conditions
• Clock in and out at the facility
• Float rotation may be required

Requirements

• Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS
• 1 year of experience in Telemetry, Intermediate Care, or Step Down Nursing
• Must reside within 80 miles of the facility
• Must note if previously worked for Marshfield; if so, must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission date
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Strong work ethic with a focus on cardiac-related skills and drip management

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• Every other weekend and holiday
• Minimum 48 hours per week

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
