Travel Step Down Unit RN - $2,250 per week

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Step Down care for a facility in Morgantown, West Virginia. The role involves providing high-quality patient care on a 29‑bed unit that will be fully operational in the first quarter of 2026, supporting both medical and step‑down patients with a focus on clinical excellence and patient safety. Start date: October 26, 2026; duration: 13 weeks; employment type: travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage diverse patient diagnoses on a Step Down/MedSurg unit.
• Titrate drips such as Heparin, insulin, anti‑hypertensives, and other medications.
• Utilize EPIC Electronic Health Record system.
• Work with CPAP, BiPAP, HiFlow, ventilators, and central telemetry monitoring equipment.
• Handle assignments such as six‑patient medical‑surgical or three‑patient step‑down loads.
• Float to other units as needed and participate in unit‑specific orientation.

Requirements

• BLS (AHA) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• Valid RN license.
• Experience with EPIC (Electronic Health Record).

Schedule

12‑hour day shifts, working Friday through Sunday or Saturday through Monday, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
