Overview

This travel temporary assignment starts on 09/07/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,232 to $2,285, with guaranteed 35 hours per week. Shift is 08:00–16:30. Setting: skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, and cognitive-communication assessments for patients in an acute care and SNF setting
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting communication and swallowing disorders
  • Provide direct therapy services to patients with dysphagia, aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, and related conditions; use evidence-based methods
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, treatment goals, and outcome measures; ensure compliance with privacy and coding standards
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, physicians, OT/PT, dietitian) to coordinate care, discharge planning, and safety considerations
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to support communication and safe swallowing; train staff as needed

Requirements

  • Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Pennsylvania (or eligibility for PA licensure)
  • Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility setting and participate in an interdisciplinary team
  • Strong assessment, planning, and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Comfort with travel-based assignments and adherence to shift schedules and facility policies
