Pulse Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Special Procedures Technologist for an assignment in Phoenix, Arizona.

About the role

As a Special Procedures Technologist within the Interventional Radiology Lab at Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix, you will be an integral part of the team. The facility is a Magnet-designated Academic Medical Center, Level 1 Trauma Center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The Interventional Radiology Lab specializes in high-acuity venous, arterial, and non-endovascular procedures, including:

  • Angiograms
  • Angioplasty and stent placements
  • Neuro coiling
  • Stroke thrombectomy
  • Embolization of bleeds
  • Y-90 for liver cancer
  • Ablations
  • Line placements for chemotherapy and hemodialysis

The IR team includes registered nurses, interventional radiologists, neurointerventionalists, advanced practice providers, and special procedure technologists. The environment is collaborative, with interventionalist physicians who have over 10 years of tenure.

Responsibilities

  • Perform special procedures in the Interventional Radiology Department, with a focus on neuro experience.
  • Participate in on-call shifts, including one call shift per week and one call weekend every six weeks.

Schedule

  • 13-week assignment starting as soon as possible.
  • 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 4 days per week.
  • 10-hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
  • On-call requirements include weekends and holidays.

Pay

Pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, including a tax-free stipend (amount to be determined).
