About the role
We are seeking a qualified CVOR Registered Nurse to provide specialized perioperative care in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgeries.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room and assemble equipment and supplies
- Collaborate with the surgical team and ensure sterile procedures
- Position patients safely for surgery
- Provide post-surgical care coordination
- Maintain proficiency in complex surgical procedures
- Handle specimens appropriately
- Respond to intraoperative emergencies
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols
Requirements
- At least one year of recent CVOR RN experience
- Valid RN license compliant with state regulations
- Current BLS certification
Preferred Skills and Attributes
- ACLS certification
- Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, technical, and physical abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team
