The Operating Room RN provides comprehensive perioperative patient care, ensuring safety, infection control, and effective collaboration with surgical teams. Key duties include preparing the OR, managing surgical instruments and supplies, assisting with patient positioning, maintaining sterile fields, monitoring patient conditions, and documenting care. The role requires critical thinking, strong communication, and physical, technical, and sensory skills, including the ability to lift heavy equipment and work under pressure. Qualifications include at least one year of recent OR experience,valid RN license, andcurrent BLS certification; additional certifications like ACLS, PALS, or CNOR are preferred.
