Travel Respiratory Therapist, RRT

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and/or regions as needed.
• Adhere to AARC guidelines for professional practice, acting independently within scope of knowledge and experience.
• Retain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to contribute to quality improvement practices and outcomes.
• Demonstrate agility and willingness to take on new and additional responsibilities.
• Embrace new ideas and cultural differences while managing competing priorities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner Accredited Respiratory Therapist program (registry eligible).
• Current RRT credential.
• Valid State License in Respiratory Care if required in the state of practice.
• Maintain credentials required per specialty area (e.g., ACLS, NRP).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications must be obtained through the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and other health personnel.
• Analytical skills to identify patient needs.
• Basic computer skills in a Windows environment.
• Adult, NICU, and PICU experience required.

Pay

Pay range: $36.44–$39.50 per hour plus tax-free allowance if qualified, or $61 per hour for local assignments. Actual compensation varies based on experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification, and comparisons to current colleagues in similar roles.

Gross weekly rate for this assignment: $2,556.00 (3x12-hour night shifts).
