Travel Respiratory Therapist Registered Respiratory Therapist Job
Key Highlights
- Weekly pay: $1,776-$1,899 per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Start date: 07/27/2026
- Shift: 3x12 Nights
- Setting: 325-bed short-term acute care facility
- Weekend coverage: Every other weekend (EOW); float coverage may be required across the facility
Responsibilities
- Manage ventilator support and weaning; monitor and troubleshoot high-pressure alarms
- Collect arterial/venous blood gases and interpret ABG results
- Airway management including ET tube care, trach care/management, suctioning, and airway device placement
- Provide noninvasive support (CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula) as clinically indicated
- Neonatal support skills as needed (NICU exposure and umbilical blood gas interpretation)
- Administer inhaled therapies and aerosols; include nitric oxide/Flolan as prescribed; assist with bronchoscopy-related care
- Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in interprofessional rapid response when needed
Requirements
- Active WA Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility; pending license accepted per posting; CRT or RRT credential required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS
- Education: Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program
- Experience: Minimum 1 year clinical respiratory experience
- Setting: Ability to work effectively in a hospital environment; willingness to float across units as needed
- Travel eligibility: This is a travel assignment; local residents within 50 miles are not eligible
- Pre-start modules: Required; average ~16 hours ( >20 hours requires PM approval)
