Overview
A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with neonatal ICU experience is needed for a 13-week travel assignment starting on 08/10/2026.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care to neonatal and general patients, including ventilator management and weaning under physician order.
- Perform assessments, initiate therapies, and adjust treatments such as humidification, aerosolized medications, and chest therapies per protocol.
- Monitor patient responses, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team.
- Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, ensure infection control practices, and maintain equipment safety and readiness.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and wound/ICU teams to coordinate care plans and optimize patient outcomes.
- Assist with diagnostic testing and data collection (e.g., arterial blood gases) as ordered and documented in the chart.
Requirements
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Neonatal ICU experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of RRT work experience.
- Ability to work the 7:00 PM–7:00 AM overnight shift.
- Eligible to work in the United States for a travel assignment.
