Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed respiratory therapies and monitor patient response, including oxygen therapy and aerosolized medication delivery
- Manage ventilator support, adjust settings per protocol, and participate in weaning as appropriate
- Perform arterial blood gas collection and interpretation; adjust care under physician orders
- Assess patient status, document findings, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Maintain respiratory care equipment, ensure proper sterilization, and uphold infection control and safety standards
Requirements
- GRA RRT lic (Georgia Registered Respiratory Therapist)
- NBRC – RRT certification
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP per AHA requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in respiratory care, within the specialty
- Ability to work night shifts in a hospital setting
