Overview

A registered respiratory therapist travel assignment is available in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory therapy treatments per protocol, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, intermittent positive pressure breathing, chest physiotherapy, ventilator management, incentive spirometry, and sputum induction as required.
  • Manage ventilator support and monitor patient response; adjust settings according to physician orders and protocols.
  • Perform cardio-pulmonary diagnostics as needed, such as electrocardiograms, pulmonary function testing, arterial blood sampling and analysis, and sleep-related studies or home monitoring as required.
  • Document patient care accurately in the medical record per departmental standards and ensure proper equipment operation, calibration, and safety checks.
  • Assist with procedures and diagnostics as assigned, including bronchoscopy support and related bedside procedures.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning.

Requirements

  • Active, current Colorado license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or CRT required; RRT within 2 years.
  • ACLS/ALC required within 6 months of employment.
  • BLS current.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant respiratory therapy experience.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.

Pay and Schedule

  • Weekly pay: $1,825–$1,935 per week.
  • Guaranteed hours: 30 per week.
  • Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (1800–0630).
  • Contract duration: 13 weeks.
  • Setting: Hospital travel assignment.
