Travel assignment for a Registered Respiratory Therapist in Burlington, VT. Start date: 08/06/2026 for a 4-week assignment.
Pay
Weekly pay range: $1,999 to $2,152.
Schedule
- Shift: 3x12 nights
- Weekends as needed
- No on-call requirements
- Bi-weekly orientation sessions on Mondays
About the role
- Inpatient, acute-care environment
- Responsibilities include adult ICU, ED, and general pediatrics (no NICU/PICU)
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required
- Documented, compliant employment history required for travel assignment
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to adult inpatients, including ICU and ED, and general pediatrics
- Administer therapies such as ventilation support, airway clearance therapies, bronchodilators, and related medications; monitor and adjust patient responses as ordered
- Assess, plan, implement, and document respiratory care in Epic EMR with accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and modify care plans; participate in rounds and ensure patient safety and infection control standards
- Respond to respiratory distress and participate in emergent situations as part of the inpatient care team
- Maintain competency for shift-specific duties and adhere to scheduling expectations
Requirements
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license; CRT not accepted
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA); NBRC verification; NRP
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience; prior travel experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Inpatient experience in adult ICU, adult ED, and general pediatrics; no NICU or PICU required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Reliable transportation required
