Travel Respiratory Therapist Registered Respiratory Therapist Job
Responsibilities
- Provide, coordinate, and direct individualized respiratory care for adult patients based on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Manage ventilator support: set adjustments, monitor patient response, troubleshoot alarms, and coordinate with physicians
- Collect, analyze, and document arterial blood gases and related respiratory data; contribute to plan of care and discharge planning
- Administer therapies including oxygen, aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, airway clearance techniques, and humidification per protocol
- Support obstetric-related respiratory needs as applicable; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize maternal and fetal status
- Maintain equipment safety, perform routine checks and cleaning, adhere to infection control practices, and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Current Washington State license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications current
- Prefer one year of acute care experience; new graduates may be considered
- Ability to meet physical requirements: lift up to 50 pounds; assist with transfers and positioning; push/pull loads as needed
- Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to function with limited supervision after orientation
- OB experience preferred
