Key Highlights

• Weekly pay: $1,870–$1,962 per week

• Setting: Hospital-based unit with ventilator management; float between acute and LTAC

Responsibilities

• Manage ventilator support for adult patients, including BiPAP/CPAP, troubleshooting high-pressure alarms, and weaning as appropriate.
• Provide airway care and pulmonary hygiene: suctioning, endotracheal/trach care, extubation assist, ABG sampling.
• Deliver respiratory therapies and devices: HFNC, nebulizers, oxygen therapy, and related airway interventions.
• Perform patient assessments, monitor respiratory status, interpret ABGs, and document in EPIC per facility compliance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (respiratory therapy, IV teams, PT, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response, social services, unit secretary, interpretation services, phlebotomy, transportation); participate in rapid response as needed.
• Floating between acute and LTAC settings as assigned; participate in on-call nights ~every other week.

Requirements

• Licenses and certifications: NY license in hand to submit; BLS, RRT, ACLS required.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience required; EPIC charting experience required (facility compliance).
• Additional: Patient ratio experience ~1:20; ability to work in rotating acute and LTAC settings; EPIC charting proficiency.
• Local candidate policy: No local candidates within 50 miles; candidates within 75 miles are not accepted.
