Job Description & Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team at a tertiary, teaching hospital. The RRT will be responsible for providing respiratory care to patients of varying age groups, including neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations. The position requires participation in a call rotation and working every other weekend.

  • Administer respiratory therapies and treatments to patients.
  • Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status and response to therapy.
  • Utilize and maintain respiratory equipment including ventilators and nebulizers.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and treatments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a respiratory therapist.
  • Active RRT certification required.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and NRP preferred.
  • Experience in NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, and the Emergency Department is essential.
  • Familiarity with various ventilator systems and EMR systems, particularly EPIC.
