Talent4Health is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Ypsilanti, Michigan.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Registered Respiratory TherapistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalStart Date: 11/02/2026Duration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, nightsEmployment Type: TravelSeeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients requiring routine and critical respiratory support. The therapist will assess patients, administer prescribed treatments, manage ventilatory equipment, and collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. ResponsibilitiesAssess patients’ respiratory status and recommend appropriate treatment plans.Administer prescribed respiratory treatments, medications, oxygen therapy, and aerosol treatments.Operate, monitor, and maintain invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation equipment.Perform airway management, suctioning, and tracheostomy care.Conduct oximetry, capnography, arterial blood gas sampling, and pulmonary function studies as required.Perform chest physiotherapy and secretion clearance procedures.Assist with bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomy, chest tube placement, and other respiratory procedures.Perform 12-lead EKGs, recognize basic arrhythmias, and provide CPR according to BLS/ACLS guidelines.Perform endotracheal intubation and manage artificial airways within the scope of practice.Monitor patient responses to treatments and document assessments, interventions, and results accurately.Communicate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams regarding patient progress and treatment effectiveness.Educate patients and families about respiratory treatments, equipment, and home care.Ensure respiratory equipment is functioning properly and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.Maintain accurate treatment records, patient handoff reports, and respiratory therapy charges.Perform other duties as assigned.RequirementsActive Respiratory Therapist license and applicable credentials required.Experience with mechanical ventilation and airway management.Knowledge of invasive and non-invasive respiratory support.Experience with tracheostomy care, suctioning, and oxygen therapy.Ability to perform respiratory assessments and related diagnostic procedures.Strong documentation, communication, and critical-thinking skills.Must be available to start November 3 and commit to every other weekend for the 13-week assignment. iAbout Talent4HealthA leader and innovator, offering comprehensive talent solutions for the healthcare industry across the nation.
