Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,210 per week

About the role

We currently have a client in West Reading, PA looking for a Traveling Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Respiratory Therapist to help provide quality patient care during the COVID-19 crisis. As a member of the Respiratory Team, you will develop and ensure the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, and other therapists. Ask your recruiter if this job qualifies as a crisis rate. Contract assignment – 13 weeks (temporary), shift: 3x12 nights. Pay depends on location and experience; a very competitive package is offered to the right Respiratory Therapist. Candidates need to possess phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail with a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety. Being compassionate and sensitive is a prerequisite for the profession.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient and recommending a treatment plan
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes
• Performing timely and accurate documentation
• Promoting continuous quality improvement
• Teaching and counseling patients/families

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families
• At least 2 years of work experience

Pay

Pay depends on location and experience. The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts (3x12 nights).
