Travel Registered Nurse Wound Care Job
Travel assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in Wound Care in a short-term acute care setting in Fort Defiance, Arizona. Start date: 09/08/2026 for a 13-week contract.
About the Role
This assignment focuses on wound care and ostomy care within a short-term acute care hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement care for patients with ostomies, draining wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers, and other acute or chronic wounds.
- Provide comprehensive wound care, including treatment planning, dressing selection, and ongoing evaluation of healing progress.
- Educate patients and families on wound and ostomy care, supplies, and equipment to support home or continued care.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and ensure safe, evidence-based practice.
- Document assessments, care plans, and progress in the medical record; adhere to infection control and documentation standards.
Requirements
- Wound Care Certification required; minimum 3 years of wound care experience.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- Experience in acute care wound and ostomy care.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule with no holidays or weekends.
Pay
Weekly pay range: $2,560–$2,730 per week with guaranteed hours of 36 per week.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (no holidays or weekends).
