Travel Registered Nurse Utilization Review Job

Responsibilities

• Medical necessity determination and utilization review for daily patient care plans
• Discharge planning and transitions of care, including coordination with community resources
• Conduct continued stay reviews and concurrent review processes
• Care coordination, benefits eligibility, and handling appeals/denials as needed
• Timely, accurate documentation in the patient record, including initial screenings and discharge plans
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on plan-of-care changes and care coordination across services

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Idaho or a Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• 2 years of RN experience preferred in utilization review, case management, or discharge planning; previous charge experience and community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Ability to work with adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient populations
