Overview

A Registered Nurse (RN) position is available for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital setting in Milan, NM. The start date is scheduled for September 21, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct postpartum nursing care to mothers and newborns across the postpartum period
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments; develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
  • Provide clear, culturally sensitive education to patients and families; support health literacy and transitions of care
  • Direct and supervise licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and other ancillary personnel; maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the broader care team; participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Float to other departments as needed with appropriate orientation and training; uphold NM Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and current evidence-based guidelines

Requirements

  • Active New Mexico RN license or eligible for multi-state compact (eNLC) license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) from the American Heart Association (or equivalent)
  • Required certifications: ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
  • STABLE certification required within 12 months of hire
  • Education: ADN required; BSN preferred
  • Experience: Perinatal/postpartum clinical experience or relevant obstetric nursing knowledge; ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting
