Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
About the role
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California, starting 08/17/2026 for 8 weeks. The assignment takes place in a hospital setting and involves perioperative care with mandatory on-call coverage.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures
- Coordinate the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff in the OR to support efficient case flow
- Ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care
- Participate in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment specific to the surgical population
- Maintain sterile technique, monitor patient status, and assist with instrument handling and wound closure as needed
- Provide on-call coverage as required by unit policy and patient needs
Requirements
- Perioperative nursing or operating room experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced OR environment with on-call obligations
- Strong communication and collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff
- Flexibility to support a travel assignment with the listed shift pattern and duration
- Availability to begin on 08/17/2026 and complete the 8-week assignment
Pay
Weekly pay range: $2,576–$2,748 per week. Shift: 5x8 days. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and confirmed hours will be discussed during the hiring process.
