Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for surgical patients, including pre-op assessment, intraoperative support, and post-op recovery as needed
• Maintain sterile technique and manage the sterile field; assist in surgical procedures and ensure equipment is available, safe, and functioning
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively, including vital signs and anesthesia-related parameters; respond promptly to hemodynamic changes
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and circulating staff to maintain patient safety, proper documentation, and infection control standards
• Participate in on-call duties, weekends, and holidays as required; contribute to trauma case coverage when assigned
• Document perioperative care accurately in the electronic medical record and maintain clear communication with the care team

Requirements

• Active RN license (Georgia) or eligibility to practice
• OR nursing experience required; Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Competency in neuro and vascular perioperative skills
• Previous travel nursing experience required; no block scheduling
• Proficiency with Outlook, Workday, and Shift Wizard; ability to access these apps on electronic devices
• Ability to work in a high-acuity OR environment with call, weekend, and holiday requirements
