Responsibilities
Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients in the OR using the nursing process
Collect and analyze data, identify care issues, develop a plan, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes
Supervise and direct assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with the surgical team and other disciplines
Participate in discharge planning and provide education to patients and families; maintain a safe, healing environment
Delegate appropriately and support handoffs, ensuring continuity of care
Requirements
- Active, current RN license in California
- Minimum two years of recent acute care nursing experience
- BSN preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification; AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS; PALS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic and Cerner electronic health records; EPIC and Cerner experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a hospital setting; vaccination requirements in place (exemptions as allowed)
