Travel Registered Nurse Oncology Job

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for oncology patients in a hospital setting, delivering evidence-based nursing interventions
• Administer medications per physician orders, including chemotherapy and supportive therapies, and monitor for adverse effects
• Continuously assess patients, monitor vitals, and respond to changes in condition with timely interventions
• Initiate and manage IV therapies and central line care as appropriate; coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Document care and outcomes in the electronic health record; ensure accurate medication administration, orders, and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, symptom management, safety, and plan of care; collaborate with the care team to support smooth transitions

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Georgia
• Minimum 2 years of recent oncology nursing experience in an acute care setting
• AHA BLS certification preferred; AHA ACLS certification preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm–7:30 am) on a 12x3 schedule
