Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care on a Med Surg Tele unit, including monitoring, assessment, and intervention for adult patients
• Administer medications and IV therapy; operate IV pumps; perform bladder scans and glucose monitoring; draw blood as needed
• Document in EPIC, maintain accurate care plans, and communicate changes to the multidisciplinary team
• Collaborate with CNAs/PCTs, unit clerk, and other staff to ensure safe, effective patient care and timely handoffs
• Respond to clinical changes, implement escalation workflows, and provide support during ED hold scenarios
• Support discharge planning and patient education; coordinate with the broader care team for smooth transitions

Requirements

• Current New York Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• NIHSS required prior to starting
• Epic experience within the past 2 years
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience; 1 year in Med Surg Tele preferred
• CMSRN certification preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; willingness to float to other tele units as needed
